To Gabriele, her photos of horses are not just pretty pictures. "I try to reveal, through the horses and my photography, the oneness we have with all of nature. My intention and purpose, in life and work, is to help open the awareness and the inner connection that people can have, not only to horses but also to their own soul,” she says.

Capturing spirited equines in gorgeous settings, during intimate moments, and at the height of athletic exertion is what Gabriele is best known for, and her 25th anniversary calendar images don’t disappoint. Featuring breeds such as Friesians, Gypsy Vanners, Arabians, Lipizzans, and Haflingers, among others, and disciplines such as driving, dressage, jumping, and cross country, they’re as much inspiring wall art as they are calendars. New for this year are an agenda planner featuring Linda Tellington-Jones, larger sizes for the same price on the PhotoArt calendars, plus all-new images in every calendar.

Gabriele recalls her first calendar series, back in the mid-1980s: “ I printed the first calendar for Edition Boiselle in 1985. Graphics, production, publicity, distribution, invoicing – I did the whole lot myself!” she laughs. “And, I shall never forget how I spent the Christmas season standing in my kitchen packing calendars, and how I motivated myself with Christmas biscuits and a festive glass of champagne to keep going to the end.”

After her first year, Gabriele swore off calendars, not producing one for another two years. However, demand for the ‘Boiselle calendars’ drew her back in, and today her dedicated fanbase looks forward to her calendars and agenda planners each year. Gabriele hopes that her calendars also fulfill a higher purpose for her audience. “With every calendar I sell and each one I see displayed on someone's wall, I know my intention, to encourage people to connect to their own spiritual nature and that of the horse, is coming through to help others."

"This calendar is part of a venture which is particularly close to my heart because, within the scope of ESSA (European State Stud Association), I work hard in an effort to ensure the preservation of the European state studs. There is a constant threat of certain historic studs being dissolved whilst others are in danger of becoming privatised. European horse breeds are a cultural heritage which must be maintained. In this calendar you not only see some of the most attractive state studs and horse breeds, you can also read information about the history as well as the current problems which the studs are experiencing."
