Wellington, FL (January 21, 2010) – Baylor University college student April Wehle was in the ribbons during the first week of the 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival, winning an Adult Amateur jumper class sponsored by Classic Equine Equipment. Wehle won the class on Calvin, a jumper owned by Abigail McArdle.
“I ride with Jimmy Torano at Jet Show Stable and Calvin was at our barn for the weekend so I had the chance to show him,” Wehle said. “I liked him so much that now I am leasing him for the rest of the Winter Equestrian Festival.”
Wehle, a Wellington resident who has been showing at WEF since she was eight years old, described Calvin as the “ultimate horse.” “I fly back and forth between school and WEF and Calvin is the kind of horse that allows me to just fly in on the weekend and show,” she said.
Wehle was thrilled with the vest she won from Classic Equine Equipment and said, “It’s great to have wonderful sponsors.” Classic Equine Equipment is a nationally recognized leader in quality horse stall systems and stable accessories. WEF visitors are invited to stop by the Classic Equine booth next to the Tiki Tower overlooking the International Ring throughout the show season.
“We love WEF and are really glad to be sponsoring the Adult Amateur jumpers. Congratulations to April for a great show,” said Adam Busse, owner of Classic Equine. “Classic Equine Equipment was founded in 1991 with the mission of providing quality products. We would love everyone to visit us at WEF and let us show you the ultimate in horse stall systems and stable accessories.”
